He was predeceased by: his parents, David Gunter and Georgia Higginbotham Gunter. He is survived by: his wife Ann Gunter; his sons, Edd Gunter, Jr. (Angela), Travis Gunter (Deena), David Gunter (Joan) and Matthew Gunter (Debra); and his siblings, Mae Harvey, Helen Johnson, Allen Gunter and Bob Gunter.
