He was predeceased by: his sisters, Martha Widner and Mabel Conner. He is survived by: his wife Wynell Butler; his daughters, Karen Godlewski (Gary) of Macon and Tammy Powell (Kenny) of Eastman; his sisters, Johnnie Hall and Loyce Wade; and his grandchildren, Haley Janufka (Matt), Carlie Daniel and Rachael Godlewski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
