She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Giddens and Mae Mullis; her daughter Joan Daniels Douglas; her granddaughter Lara Bennett; and her sisters, Monette Bryant, Myrtice Dixon and Betty Jean Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Bennett (Larry), Jeffrey Daniels (Darla) and Joe Daniels (Teresa); and her stepchildren, Judy Batchelor (Buddy) and Don Shepard. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
