He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Gene Alton McKinney, Jr.; his wife Francis Lavern McKinney; his grandchildren, Amanda McKinney of Haynesville, Melissa McKinney of Warner Robins, Michael McKinney (Kristina Stinson) of Haynesville and Matthew McKinney (Ryan) of Atlanta; and his siblings, Bob McKinney (Mary) of Social Circle, Eloise Elliott (Cuin) of Macon and Korona McKinney of Macon.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Assembly of God Church, 806 Grovania Road, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036.
