It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Hardin Harrington (Eastman, Georgia), who passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Gertrude Horne and Silas H. Hardin; her husband Wilton D. Harrington; and her siblings, Silas Hardin Jr., Dorthy H. Chapman, Drexel Chapman (Catherine Fletcher), Lovett Fletcher and Dr. E. M. Harrington Jr. (Betsy Harrington).
She is survived by: her children, Scooter Harrington (Catherine), Mac Harrington (Gloria), John Harrington (Priscilla) and Lee Ann Fortson (Alvin); her grandchildren, Wil Harrington (Melia), Ellen Harrington, Si Harrington, Vail Fortson, Ann Bowdre Clayton (Jordan), Kaitlin Fordham, Kelli Harrington (Travis), Kendel Bryant (Calab), Preston Harrington and Taylor Harrington; her great grandchildren, Lawson, Wilton Harrington, Vance Fordham, Olivia Harrington, Shea Clem, Tessa Harrington, Kimber, Calab Wesley, Colter Bryant, Ford and Ann Carter Clayton; her sister-in-law Beverly H. Hardin; and her friend Mae Coley.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (5334 Oak St, Eastman, GA 31023). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Eastman (5334 Oak St, Eastman, GA 31023).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Eastman, Georgia at 5334 Oak Street.
