“My deepest condolences to the Spates family. I lived next door to Mr Otis. The day I moved in, he gave his word to my church family he would like for me. He kept that word until he no longer was capable. My fondest of memories were our talks on the porch. He would show me videos and we would crack jokes. I remember when he was excited and worked hard to fundraise money for his high school reunion. He brought me back some fish when he would go fishing. I loved him like family. He will be missed.”
