Marlene Lewis wrote a sympathy message

“I am a classmate of Floyd Perry's. Life is as perrenial as the grass. The Floyd Perry that I knew and remember, lived life to the fullest. He was a vibrant robust personality who will always be remembered. His light shines bright and shall never fade. To his family, he lives on in your hearts. To his friends and family at Franklin & Marshall College, we'll never forget you. We bid you adieu until we meet again”

Randolph Carnegie wrote a sympathy message

“I met Floyd at Franklin and Marshall College. He was a trash talker then, but he was so entertaining. We had a class together on black literature. He was outspoken on his viewpoint regarding the writings of the prominent writers of the period. After college, we went for a ride on his new boat. The damn thing lost power and we had to be towed by a passing traveller. However this was not before we were eaten by the bugs on that New Jersey river. Rest well my fellow Diplomat.”
