He was predeceased by: his parent Alvergis Gantt, Sr.; his wife Lessie Omelia Jones Gantt; his parent Elease Chappell Gantt; and his siblings, Larence Gantt (LC), Dennis Gantt, Heristene Conaway and Sarah Jefferson.
He is survived by: his children, LaTonya Gantt and Alvin Keith Gantt; his siblings, Eric Gantt (Claudia), Leon Gantt (Brenda), Annis Mayweather (Jim) and Genell Powers (Terry); his sisters-in-law, Annie Sewell (William), Pearl Gantt and Fannie Gantt Morris; and also Pat Berry.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:59 PM and from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Hill Baptist Church (1730 McRee's Mill Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677). A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Oak Hill Baptist Church's Cemetery (1730 McRee's Mill Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677).
