He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Young and Leitha Fulford Young; his wife Frances Wood Young; his brother Preston Young; his son-in-law Phil Tucker; and his daughter Cathy Fordham.
He is survived by: his daughters, LaWanda Tucker, Lisa Raffield (Gregg), Kim Darsey (Jeff) and Janet Caraway (Aubrey); his siblings, John Cessum Young (Maggie), Fannie Mae Stewart, Paul Young (Ginger) and Nell Maddox (Jake); and his friend Sallie McClendon of Rockledge. He is also survived by great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
