It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Newton Hancock III of Dunwoody, Georgia, who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, James Newton is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James Newton's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Newton Hancock, Jr. and Louise Russell Hancock; and his son Kirk Hancock (Ruth). He is survived by: his wife Carol Hogan of Massey, Alabama.; and his children, Jay Hancock (Jody) and Kristi Moore (Andy). He is also survived by six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dunwoody Baptist Church (1445 Mt Vernon Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
