He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Carfrae Schutte and Jean Young Schutte. He is survived by: his wife Linda Bradley Schutte; his sons, Hugh Hobson Schutte and Murray Schutte Christiansen; his son-in-law Josh Christiansen; his sister Jean Schutte Harter; his brother-in-law David Harter; his grandchildren, Mary Reed and Noah Christiansen; and also Rebecca Lokey.
