He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Alexina Gardner and Donald Thomas Byrd; and his daughters, Kay and Lynn. He is survived by: his wife Corrinne Byrd; his children, Renee Byrd-Lewis (Tim Lewis) and Andrew Byrd of Buford, GA.; his grandchildren, Roy, Stephana, Jennifer, Will and Alex; and his siblings, Tom Byrd of Blythewood, SC and Dolly Urdanick (Bill) of Myrtle Beach, SC..
