She was predeceased by: her son James L. Lanier. She is survived by: her husband Thomas L. Lanier, Jr.; her son Thomas L. Lanier, IV (Lisa); and her cousins, Linda Cleveland (Roy), Billy Cox (Kathy), Rose Donaldson (Jimmy), Venita Ellington (Bob), John Harold King and Newell King.
