It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Walter Gilbreath Jr. of Duluth, Georgia, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Gilbreath, Sr. and Isabelle Finch Gilbreath; and his stepgrandson Sean Michael Fields. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Dorsey Gilbreath; his sister Catherine Gilbreath Estep (Scott); his niece Lisa Selem (Alex); his nephew Cameron; his stepchildren, Pamela Smith (Gordon), Brenda Fields (Rich) and Richard F. Parker, Jr. (Pam); his stepgrandchildren, Ryan Smith (Shontel), Eric Smith (Carolyn), Zachary Smith, Lindsay Fields, Jessica Fields and Paul Parker (Fleming); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Seth, Rylee, Juliette, Jennifer and Patton.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Duluth First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 699, Duluth, GA 30096.
