It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jesse Nicholas Maxey of Duluth, Georgia, born in Maxeys, Georgia, who passed away on December 22, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolphus Theodore Maxey and Myrtle Kathleen Kutres Maxey; his grandson Bryce Daniel Maxey; and his brothers, Adolphus Theodore Maxey, Jr., Weyman Maxey and William Maxey.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine B. Maxey; his children, Joy Maxey and Duane; and his daughter-in-law Beverly Maxey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions.
