He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Allen Chappell and Margarette Hodges Chappell; and his sister Anella Chappell. He is survived by: his children, Robert Charles Chappell Jr. (Tiffany) and Shelley Elizabeth Chappell; his grandchildren, Gage Voyles, Luxton "Lucky" Fagundes and Reese Chappell; and his siblings, Mac Chappell (Dee Scott), Peggy Reed (Larry), Jo Ann Manning (Buster) and Betty Brown (Keith). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021).
