He is survived by: his friend Mike; his wife Julia "Skeeter" of Dudley; his children, Michael Couey (Elizabeth) and Kelly Eley (Mike) of Dublin; his stepdaughters, Lori Williams (Paul) of Sylvester, GA and Jill Pavesich (Rick) of Dublin; his grandchildren, Dyllon Couey (Kris), Dustin Couey of Dublin, Evan Ellis, Emma Ellis of Dublin, Jackson Tipton of Savannah, Jarrett Tipton (Shayla) of Gulfport, MS, Ashton Williams, Leea Williams, James Raymond of Sylvester, Riley Hutcheson, Arlie Hutcheson of Dublin, Connor Pavesich and Haleigh Pittman (Bailey) of Eastman; his great grandchild James Couey of Dublin; and his sisters, Martha Artis of Chumuckla, FL, Mary Sue Ward of Adel and Melinda Dulmage of Georgetown.
