He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Evans and Louise Battle Evans; and his siblings, Herbert "Red" Evans, Hobert "Buddy" Evans, Wendell Evans, Truitt Evans, Mildred Brown and Mattie Sanders.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Evans; his sons, Stacy Evans (Angie) and Jason Evans (Trish); and his siblings, Thomas Evans (Bonnie), Rebecca Cannon (Cecil), Gloria Williams, Linda Carroll and Loretta O'Neil (Joe). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021).
