As Lena Mae departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Lena Mae may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Lena Mae leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Henry Erikson and Lottie Inez Phleider. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Archie Franklin McAfee of East Dublin; her children, Archie Bryant McAfee of Sugarcreek Township, OH, James Ross Fincher of East Dublin, Mary Leanna McAfee of East Dublin and Susan Elizabeth Brooks (McAfee) of East Dublin; and her brother Kenneth Erikson of Orange, CA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel (1320 US-441, Dublin, GA 31021). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. McAfee to the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Avenue, FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
