He was predeceased by: his parents, Turner Smith and Shelly Smith; and his brother Tommy L. "Shorty" Smith (Luddie "Jackee" Smith). He is survived by: his children, Roderick Smith (Jennifer), Sherry Kates and Tracy Smith; his siblings, Rosa L. Denson, Sherry Smith, Penny Anderson (Terry), Sherville Smith (Albert), Willie Smith (Thelma) and Robert Smith; his stepson Leroy Humphrey; and his close friend Margaret. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
