He is survived by: his wife Fara Haney Avery; his daughter Amelia Cobb (Travis); his grandchildren, Madelyn Cobb and William Cobb; his sisters, Melissa Avery (Randy Schnoes), Ann Avery (Mark Henn) and Ellen Lewis; his stepbrother Darren Epley (Tricia); his parents-in-law, Ted and Judy Haney; and his siblings-in-law, Dina Stevenson (Jeff) and Todd Haney (Scotti).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Townsend Brothers Funeral Home (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Dublin, Georgia (405 Bellevue Ave, Dublin, GA 31021). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
