Though Archie Franklin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Archie Franklin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bryant McAfee and Mary Frances Stewart; and his wife Lena Mae McAfee. He is survived by: his children, Archie Bryant McAfee of Sugarcreek Township, OH, James Ross Fincher of East Dublin, Mary Leanna McAfee of East Dublin and Susan Elizabeth McAfee Brooks of East Dublin. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stanley Funeral Home - Dublin (1320 US-441, Dublin, GA 31021). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel (1320 US-441, Dublin, GA 31021). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (679 Shady Grove Church Rd, Dublin, GA 31021).
