She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bill Russell and Marie Johnston Russell of Dublin, GA.; and her husband John Edward Buckins. She is survived by: her son Steve Edward Buckins of Dublin; and her siblings, Betty Russell Thomas (Mike) of Sharpsburg, GA and Gary Russell (Patty) of Dudley, GA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Townsend Brothers Funeral Home (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021). A committal service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Marie Baptist Church Cemetery (589 Perry Dairy Rd, Dublin, GA 31021).
