It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sanford Perry Rains of Douglasville, Georgia, born in Newnan, Georgia, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny James Rains and Nettie Grace Wilson Rains. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mozley Rains; and his sons, Tim Rains (Brenda), Mark Rains and Scott Rains. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
