With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Minnie Johnetta Porter Brannon (Douglasville, Georgia), who passed away on November 29, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Porter and Minnie Bell Charles Porter; her son Leroy Jackson Brannon, Jr.; her brothers, Christoper Charles Porter and Joseph David Porter; her sister-in-law Patricia Darnell Porter; her son-in-law Grady Michael Carder; and her granddaughter Mary M. Carder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Lee Brannon Carder and Christy Brannon Berry (Robert Mahlkuch); her grandchildren, Melissa Carder Hinton (Michael Hinton), Megan Carder Hixson (Joshua Hixson), Meredith Carder Keating (Justin Keating), Thomas D. Berry and Katherine Elizabeth Berry; and her great grandchildren, Carder Holland, Carson Hinton, Carlee Hixson, Grady Hixson, Landry and Lynnex Keating. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones-Wynn - Douglas Chapel (2189 Midway Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at 78 Cemetery Cir, Ellijay, GA 30540.
