With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lyne Nakabiri Ssebikindu of Douglasville, Georgia, whose life came to an end on October 7, 2024 at the age of 68, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Israel Kikulwe; her siblings, Violet Luwedde, David Kikulwe and Sam Kikulwe; and her siblings-in-law, Godwin Semwogerere, Allan Muwonge, Mark Kasigwa, Gilbert Inyalio and Joselyn Birungi.
She is survived by: her mother Jane Sewali; her husband Rev. Francis Ssebikindu; her daughters, Faith Ssebikindu, Ashley Otuonye (Christopher) and Joy Ssebikindu (Gerald Haynes); her grandchildren, Caitlin Otuonye, Lucas Otuonye and Noah Otuonye; and her siblings, Rosette Semwogerere, Tina Nabadda Ssebaggala Inyalio, Anne Muwonge, Diane Kawesa (Sam), Becky Ddamulira (Bob) and Daniel Kikulwe (Sandra). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Grace Presbyterian Church (5000 Stewart Mill Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Harmony Cemetery (581 Veterans Memorial Hwy SW, Mableton, GA 30126).
In lieu of flowers, the family will establish an endowed scholarship fund at the University of Memphis, College of Education in Dr. Ssebikindu's honor.
