He is survived by: his wife Geri Lynn Brewer Childress of Douglasville, Georgia; his sons, Justin Childress of Temple, Adam Smith of Douglasville, Chris (Maria Petitt) and Corey (Amber Petitt); and his siblings, Connie Kelly of Douglasville, Georgia, Steve (Amy Childress) and Lynn (Dannah Carter). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
