She was predeceased by: her parents, King Butler and Harriette Butler; her siblings, Harry Butler, Rosie Doubling, Arthur Butler, Viola Waddy, Geneva Bea, Robbie Butler, Melvin Butler, Leon Butler, Leroy Butler, Clinton Butler, Joe Butler and Eanest Butler; and her nephew G. Lamont "Woody" Jenkins.

She is survived by: her sons, Anthony Morris (Teisha) of Douglasville, Shawn Morris of Douglasville and Arron Cook (Abby) of Douglasville; her aunt Classie Edwards of Lancaster, VA; her siblings, Yvonne O'Berry (Hector), Phylis Smith (Melvin) and Curtis Butler of Hampton; her grandchildren, Trinity Morris, Trez'ja Morris, Armani Brown, Malik Jefferson, King Morris, Hadassah Morris, MaliYah Jefferson, AriYah Morris, Avah Cook, Aiden Brown and Jakob Walker; her daughter Tennille Brooks; her adoptive daughter Lorieda Jennings (Tony); her children, Lorieda Ward, Tyler Smith and Lori Smith of Suffolk; and her adoptive son Andrew Callahan (Elijah Herring) of Douglasville.

Viewing was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Providence Baptist Church (1331 30th St, Newport News, VA 23607).
