He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Lewis Smith; his daughters, Donna Kate Mercer, Sr. (Charles) and Sandy Michelle Smith; his brother Harry A. Smith (Frances Paulk); and his grandson Charles Evans Mercer, Jr.. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
