He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clyde Minix and Bessie Estelle Moore Minix; and his brother Jim Minix. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Faye Minix; his children, Amanda Minix Fulford (Brian) of Blackshear, Georgia and William Jerry Minix, II of Douglas, Georgia; his grandchildren, Tyler Nelson (Abbie) of Waycross, Ashton Whitley of Douglas, Georgia, Jeran Whitley of Douglas, Georgia, William Jerry Minix, III of Douglas, Georgia and Kadence Minix of Douglas, Georgia; his great grandchild River Nelson of Waycross, Georgia; and his sisters, Nell Minix McKinnon of Douglas and Sandra Holton (Kirby) of Douglas, Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel (305 W Ward St, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Douglas City Cemetery (1622 N Gaskin Ave, Douglas, GA 31533).
