It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Herman Hawse Sr. of Douglas, Georgia, born in Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Stacey Hawse and Ruby Sonifrank Hawse. He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Keesecker Hawse of Douglas, GA; his children, Cindy Smith of Waynesboro, PA, Kevin Hawse of West Virginia, Darla Hawse of Waynesboro, PA, Deann Hawse of North Carolina and Walter Hawse, Jr. of Douglas, GA; and his sisters, Teresa Hawse of Florida and Marie Hawse of Hagerstown, MD. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
