He was predeceased by: his parents, Montgomery Lane Preston and Ouida Bryan Preston; and his brother Montgomery Lane "Buck" Preston Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Janice Pope Preston of Douglas, GA; his children, Thomas Bryan Preston Jr. (Mary) of Douglas, GA and Pamela Preston of Douglas, GA; his grandchildren, Tyler McNeese and Chelsea Preston; his great grandchild Gauge McNeese; and his brother Robert Preston of Douglas, GA. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to Bethany Hospice or First Baptist Church.
