It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie M. Carver of Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on July 21, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eston Merritt and Louise Batten Merritt; her husband James Henderson Carver; her son James Edsel Carver; and her stepfather Lindsey Merritt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Carver Ross (Keith) of Brunswick, GA and Reva Catherine Carver of St. Simons, GA; and her grandchildren, Walker Freeman, James Freemen, Lauren Whittaker (Pace), Grayson Carver, Gavin Carver and Ridge Ross. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
