For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Benefield and Ethel McKinnon; and her sister Lonnie McKinnon. She is survived by: her boyfriend Danny Porter of Douglas, GA; her daughters, Kathlene Merritt of Broxton, GA, Bridgette Anderson (Timothy) of Douglas, GA, Beverly Leal of Douglas, GA and Melissa Watkins (Matthew) of Nicholls, GA; and her granddaughter Sabrina Anderson (Fourteen). She is also survived by Fourteen Grandchildren, Ten Great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Full Gospel Tabernacle Cemetery (8801 US-221, West Green, GA 31567).
