He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frank Brantley and Opal Harper Brantley; his son Jamie (James Frank); and his siblings, Billy, Tony, Jack, Jimmy, Julian, Maxine Lamb and Audrey Raines.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Brantley; his children, Pam Martin (Clint) of Hartwell, GA and Jesse, Jr. Brantley (Alice) of Denton, GA; his grandchildren, Justin Brantley (Kayla) of Tifton, GA, Joshua Brantley of Jacksonville, FL, Chase Martin of Atlanta, GA and Jessica Veronee (Tyler) of Winder, GA; his great grandchild Rhodes Veronee; his stepgreat-grandson Isaac Irions; and his sister Jean Brantley of Sanford. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (124 N Gaskin Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Douglas City Cemetery (1623 N Gaskin Ave, Douglas, GA 31533).
