Tanner (Susan) of Axson, GA and Laurie Ely (Carlos) of Douglas, GA; his stepdaughter Rebecca Temple (Becky); his grandchildren, Madelyn Tanner, Jessa Tanner, Laura Curtis (Isaiah) and Lesley Shook (Drew); his wife June Elinor Gillis Tanner; and his siblings, Sibyl Plemmons, Laura Jean Kirkland, Clora Helen Monk, Johnnie Waters, Hubert Tanner and Timothy Jackson Tanner. He is also survived by several Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
