She is survived by: her children, Brenda Ramirez (Luis) of Douglas, GA, Gary Porter (Terri) and Joel "Joey" Stevens (Janett); her grandchildren, Eric Porter (Melissa) and Audrey Anderson (Matthew); her sister Judy Gaff (Leon); and her sister-in-law Virginia McClendon (Ronnie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). The lying in state was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Illa Baptist Church (5568 GA-158, Douglas, GA 31535). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St Illa Baptist Church (5568 GA-158, Douglas, GA 31535). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the St Illa Baptist Church Cemetery (5638 GA-158, Douglas, GA 31535).
