With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Ricky Taylor (Douglas, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2025 at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ralph Taylor and Dorothy Eloise Miller; his sister Cindy Purvis; and his nephews, Christopher Zanders, Jason Zanders and Jason Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Taylor of Waynesville, GA; his stepparents, Charlene Taylor and Eugene Miller Sr.; his children, Jennifer Roagin (Robert) of Montana, Amanda Michelle Gilbert (Rowdy) of Jacksonville, FL, Kelly Taylor Griswald (Jeremy) of Ambrose, GA, James Metts (Connie) of Broxton, GA and Jeremy Metts of Broxton, GA; his stepchildren, Kole Dowling (Chaz) of Wyoming, Wayne Baker (Miranda) of Jesup, GA and Terry Baker (Amy) of Deltona, FL; and his siblings, Debbie Carelock (Daron) of Alma, GA, Sheila Carver (Ricky) of Douglas, GA, Melissa Bolton of Jacksonville, FL, Tammy Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, Junior Miller (Kathy) of Westgreen, GA and Michael Taylor Dunia of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by Twenty-two grandchildren, Three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM and on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Tabernacle Full Gospel Assembly (8801 US-221, West Green, GA 31567). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
