He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Edward Laney, Sr. and June Marie Wise Laney; his daughter Tina Mason; his grandson Todd Mason; his great grandchild Levi Smith; and his sister Rosie Bragg.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Lucille Smith Laney of Willacoochee, Georgia; his children, William Howard Laney (Crystal) of Willacoochee, Georgia and Mary Marie Graham (Scott) of Willacoochee, Georgia; his son-in-law Dennis Mason; and his sister Carroll Wood of Willacoochee, Georgia. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel (305 W Ward St, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at the Willacoochee City Cemetery.
