She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Swails and Vastin Hutchinson Swails; her husband Tommy Caves (Buck); and her siblings, Glenn Swails, Ronald Swails, Naomi Nelson, Ruby Tindall and Laila Trowell.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Caves (Shirley), Melcene Beasley (Tommy), Wiley Caves (Gloria) and Paula Anderson; and her grandchildren, Lamar Caves (Annie), Greg Caves (Martha), Sherry Clark (Jimmy), Melissa Beasley, Russell Beasley (Rena), Brandon Caves (Erin), Cory Caves (Amanda), Melanie Cater and Benjamin (Kari).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel (305 W Ward St, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Douglas City Cemetery (1622 N Gaskin Ave, Douglas, GA 31533).
