With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eric T. McIver Sr. (Douglas, Georgia), who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 44. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Eric had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Eric may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He is survived by: his wife Shakeria Curtis McIver; his children, Eric T. McIver Jr., Ethan McIver and Emily McIver; his parents, John McIver Jr. and Elizabeth Pryce (Woodrow); and his siblings, Marshall Robinson, Tonya Lesure (John), John McIver III (Sierra) and Tracey McIver. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and one great niece, as well as a host of uncles, and aunts.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the McIver's Funeral Home Chapel (1200 Railroad St E, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Everette Chapel (607 E College Park Dr, Douglas, GA 31533). A burial was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at the Benjamin Chapel Cemetery (1720 Will Smith Rd, Wray, GA 31798).
