He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alvin Taylor and Glynn Smith Taylor; his wives, Freddie Mizell Taylor and Ellen Lisa Taylor; and his siblings, Iris Taylor Durrance Courson, Evelyn Taylor Goodman, Janell Taylor Harper, Mary Jeanette Taylor Chaney, Delbert Rewis, Dennie Rewis, Darvis Rewis, Faye Rewis and Darrell Rewis.
He is survived by: his sister Delama Willis (Kenny) of Middleburg; and his children, Rebecca Loftin (Jimmy) of Fort Deposit, Charles "Buster" Taylor, Jr. of Mount Carmel, AL, Lee Taylor (Courtney) of Douglas, GA, John Heidelberg of Spartanburg, SC and Katherine McWhorter of Monroe, GA.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
