She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Alton Horne and Bessie Louise West Horne; and her significant other Scotty Perkins. She is survived by: her children, Scott Perkins of Douglas, GA, Jerry Perkins (Nicolle) of Ambrose, GA and Penny Henderson (Kent) of Gainesville, GA; her grandchildren, Alexandria Henderson, Ellie Perkins, Ashlyn Henderson and Cayman Perkins; her sister-in-law Marilyn Horne; her nephew Travis Horne; and her niece Lynn Cook.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (124 N Gaskin Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Douglas City Cemetery (1636 N Gaskin Ave, Douglas, GA 31533).
