He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon McKinnon and Matilda Carver McKinnon; his wife Ingrid Sonnenberg McKinnon; and his siblings, Bobby McKinnon and Louetha Nipper.
He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie; his son-in-law Tim Lewis of Douglas, Georgia; his grandchildren, Ashley Waldron (Kane) of Douglas and Ryan Lewis (Briana) of Douglas, Georgia; and his great grandchildren, Kallen, Avaleigh, Olen, Carter, Axle and Claire. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ricketson Funeral Home (305 W Ward St, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Non-Denominational Church (117 Warren Carter Rd, Douglas, GA 31533). A burial was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Arna Cemetery ~ Atkinson County (650 Co Rd 58, Willacoochee, GA 31650).
