He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Archer and Ella May Archer (Hall); his wife Evie Lou Archer (Staton); his siblings, Johnnie Fint Archer, William Clyde Archer (WC) and Nell Lillie Warbington (Archer); his son Virgil Wayne Archer; his grandson Ricky Lee Steele; and his great grandchild Destini Talia Cooper.
He is survived by: his sister Elsie Fields (Archer); his children, Ben (Tracey) of Jefferson, GA, Wanda Martin of Winder, GA and Becky Leach (Greg) of Headland, AL; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Genie, Jonathan, Ashley, Luke and Margaret; his great grandchildren, Samaiya, Dajuan, Clayton, Payden, Jasmine, Ella Lynn, Ariel, Ava Marie and Charlotte; and his great great grandchild Salaya. He is also survived by his loving wife of almost 68 years, they raised four children that became a family of seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel (5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
