He is survived by: his mother Marion Futrell Gavin; the mother of his children Laura Mager; his children, Nick Gavin and Emily Gavin Thornton; his son-in-law Bowen (Sophie Gavin); his brother David Gavin; his sister-in-law Tracy; his sister Genny Gavin; his nephew Talton Gavin; and his nieces, Lauren and Madelyn. He is also survived by extended family and close friends.
