He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Bailey and Viola Garmon Bailey; and his sister Ann Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Bailey of Doraville; his children, Rachel Barfield of Macon and Jared; his daughter-in-law Sheree Bailey of Sugar Hill; his brothers, Michael (Kathy Bailey) and John (Joyce Bailey); his grandchildren, Kristen Bailey, Ethan Bailey and Kortni Bailey; and his nephew Bruce Phillips. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
