He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Sheffield and Verra Daniels Sheffield; his wife Jackie Brenda Miller Sheffield; his brothers, Marcell Joseph Sheffield, Roy Sheffield and Zeke Sheffield; and his daughter-in-law Alicia Sheffield.
He is survived by: his son Troy Sheffield; his grandsons, Kyle Sheffield (Ashley) and Drew Sheffield; his great grandchild Harper Grace Sheffield; and his siblings, Rev. Wayne Sheffield (Shirley), Lamar Sheffield (Janet) and Myra Buddin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
