He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carr Mizell and Winniefred Hill Mizell; and his siblings, Danny Michael Mizell, William Mizell, James Mizell, Donald Mizell and Maureen Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Mizel of Sumter, SC, Daniel Mizell of Ashford, AL and Dee Dee Mizell Davis of Sumter, SC; and his sister Brenda Godby (Lewis) of Donalsonville, GA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
