She is survived by: her husband Larry Shoemaker of Donalsonville, GA; her sons, Joseph Brian Shoemaker (Natalie) of Brisbane and Chad Hughes Shoemaker (LaKrecia) of Lakeland, FL.; and her brothers, Charles Spooner (Deborah) of Jacksonville, FL and Leonard "Skip" Spooner of Greenville, SC..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Friendship Methodist Church (201 E 3rd St, Donalsonville, GA 39845). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
